We were very pleased with our stay at Rival!! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. NIcodemus checked us in and reviewed the key areas of the city. He would often , as we were coming and going, to see if we needed help, always with a smile. The hotel was super clean and spacious. Great location. We could walk most places or take a ferry. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had in our travels. We highly recommend Rival and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at The Rival Hotel. This beautifully restored Art Deco hotel, owned by Benny Andersson of ABBA, perfectly blends character with modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A real highlight was the large windows that could actually be opened, letting in plenty of fresh air—a feature that’s surprisingly rare and much appreciated. The location in Södermalm is excellent, within easy walking distance of Slussen and the city’s main transport connections, making it a great base for exploring Stockholm. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—warm, professional and always happy to help. A special shout-out to Michelle, who made us feel especially welcome. We loved your hospitality! The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great selection of fresh, high-quality options. I couldn’t recommend The Rival Hotel more highly and would happily stay here again.

Located in a great walking area. Room decor elegant and interesting. Bathroom amenities perfect. Delicious breakfast options. All staff so genuinely kind. If we get to visit Stockholm again, this is where we’d stay.
