Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Stella Cilento?
The best area to stay in Stella Cilento is Stella Cilento Paese, the historic hilltop village.

Stella Cilento Paese is the heart of the municipality, perched on a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It's a charming, quiet village with narrow, winding streets, traditional stone houses, and a central piazza where locals gather. The village is home to the Church of San Nicola and offers a true taste of authentic Cilento life.

For couples seeking a romantic and peaceful escape, Stella Cilento Paese is an excellent choice. You'll find boutique accommodations offering stunning views and a chance to enjoy the slow pace of Italian village life, away from the busier coastal areas. Evening strolls through the historic centre and dinner at a local trattoria create a memorable experience.

Families looking for a relaxing holiday with a touch of local culture will also appreciate Stella Cilento Paese. The village provides a calm environment for children to explore the streets and squares, and many villas come with private gardens or pools.
When is the best time to go to Stella Cilento?
The best time to visit Stella Cilento is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, early June, or September.

This period offers pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring the coastline and the Cilento National Park, without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months (July and August). You'll find that the local businesses are fully open, and you can enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities comfortably.
