Was very disappointed on the service provided on your end. Could not no matter how hard I tried to get to speak to someone. We asked for a dog friendly hotel and couldn’t get get combination ether from you or the hotel. And when we arrived they told us they did not accept. Dogs. My partner is disabled and sharing a bathroom with others was not acceptable. However after a long discussion with the both the owner and staff we came to a amicable compromise but from your end was very dissatisfied that you would not get to speak with an actual person and your automated response and emails would not give the answers to the questions I was asking. So in our opinion you need to address this. The staff at the hotel were very good in the end though. This should have been able to sort out with you before Hand

Affordably good quality accommodation with fabulous service. From the initial welcome to the time we departed and throughout the stay, we received the most professional, efficient, polite and friendly service from everyone of the hotel’s team we encountered, with special mention to the awesome Simon. The affordable rooms within this historic building are clean and functional; above all, they are very clean and comfortable with modern facilities like free-view television and reliable hotel Wi-Fi. The bed was comfy with crisp linen atop good duvet and pillows all of which aided a good nights sleep (some rooms might be noisy given the proximity to a reasonably busy road). The en-suite bathroom was also spotlessly clean with good water pressure to the shower and soft towels, complemented by some small bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The free breakfast was adequate and welcome, with a basic hot and cold self service buffet selection The hotel is located on the edge of the town centre of Halifax just a ten-minute walk from the railway station and even less of an amble from the bus station, and the same distance to the Peace Hall, also very close to the town's retail and leisure attractions. A good value for money friendly hotel in a good location, I can highly recommend. The hotel has new owners and management.

The decor was dated but okay. The room a good size, dated but sufficient. However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either. The bed was not made properly. I understood that there will be less facility due to three star status but did expect better room attendance. I ate in the restaurant and was disappointed. The potatoes were not fresh. The rest was okay. Adequate and mediocre. I would not return. I did complain but staff didn’t care which is a shame.
