First impressions were very good, with a beautiful foyer in the entrance hall, easy check-in and helpful staff. We had booked a superior room but were given a complimentary upgrade, which meant we had a suite in the well-designed garden mews area. The room was stunning, with a very comfortable and large bed, small kitchenette area, sitting room and private outdoor seating area with hot tub. We made use of the lovely spa area with swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. If the weather had been warmer in the evening, the outdoor bar area looked very inviting. We had dinner in the Brasserie, but we were not too impressed with the food, either in the evening or for breakfast - fairly bland and not well cooked. Perhaps we would have liked the fine dining restaurant more, but unfortunately the vegetarian option wasn't very exciting and we gave it a miss. This was the only negative though, and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The hotel was easy to find and parking was easy. It's proximity to the motorway system is a bonus. Staff were courteous and helpful. Bed was comfortable and breakfast good though the restaurant is a little cramped. Check in simple and similarly on leaving no problems.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced bar (with food), a spa type affair, and the rooms are very spacious. No air conditioning in the rooms, but even on the hottest day of the year it wasnt too hot.

Really nice period hotel in the city centre, with easy free parking to the rear and helpful, friendly staff. The reception areas are beautifully elegant and the room itself was modern, comfortable and spacious. It was a hot day and the windows only opened a little because we were on the ground floor, so it was rather airless, but there was a fan available at least. Would happily return.
