"What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?"

"We had a really good stay at Weligama Bay Marriott. Our stay really raised the bar for our future hotel experiences. The ocean view from the room was breathtaking, and there was very easy beach access for swimming and surfing. The hotel staff was really good and helpful as well, including the front desk staff, our concierge Nuwani, Kids Club supervisors Rashmi and Wishmi, as well as all the staff at the Weligama Kitchen whose names we couldn't catch. Weligama Kitchen - The breakfast buffet included a variety of cuisine, everything was fresh and delicious compared to many places we have been in and beyond Sri Lanka. Everything was clean, and the service was impeccable. Kids Club - Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the space was well managed and very clean. The activities for the kids were age appropriate, and there was a variety of activities and a good selection of toys to keep the kids happy and occupied. Pools - Well maintained and clean, we had no reservations about taking our kids there and having a good time. Related amenities like showers, public bathrooms, towel service were all very reliable. Overall, a great place for families with little kids. Would certainly visit again. Thanks to everyone at the Marriott who helped make our stay a memorable one."

"The hotel is nice but for a hilton could be better. We stayed here at the start and end of our holiday . It was a nice place to start but on our return we had a very smelly room which stank of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We asked it to be fixed which it was not. The reception stuff were not as friendly compared to staff at other hotels in sri lanka and generally sri lankan people."
