"The room was a good standard no complaints. The hotel do offer parking but its like playing chess to get in and out. The bar was great and offer lots of entertainment. For me breakfast was amazing. Help yourself buffet style. You can have as much or as little interaction with the hotel as you like. I would remind people that this is a very busy hotel in a seaside town, so chances are you will be woken by people enjoying themselves through the evening. All in all great stay especially as a single female I felt very safe."

"The hotel took our mobility scooter to their other hotel to charge overnight and collected it for my husband next morning. Basic continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Lovely staff, clean room. "

"A very welcome stop while walking the South West Coast Path. Room wasn't ready until about 16.00 (advised 15.00) but the staff were so friendly and welcoming, getting me a drink and genuinely apologetic for the wait. It happens - probably a full check out from the Saturday night and it was no hardship to sit in the garden in the sun. Loved the room. Very well equipped, in keeping with the location, great hot shower, loads of teas/coffees etc and the bed was amazing. Took advantage of the £12.00 offer on roasts after 17.00. Yes, no doubt not as good as would have been at lunch time but £12?! Breakfast next morning was lovely. Small Continental buffet but perfectly adequate, great coffee and nice hot offerings. Would love to go back!"

"Greeted by friendly receptionist on arrival who showed us to our large, airy sea view room. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Dinner in the evening was freshly cooked and served in the dining room. Plenty of choices for breakfast and this was cooked to order. I am coeliac, so gluten free options were available."

"We were so disappointed when we arrived at the Heights. The outside of the building looks very municipal. Inside we were greeted by the receptionist who was really friendly, welcoming and helpful, as were all the staff at the hotel. As we walked through the corridors to our room things went down hill. The walls were covered in pebbledash, which again looked like a municipal building. Not what one would expect inside a hotel where we payed almost £200/ night. The room decor was extremely dated and again, a real disappointment for what we paid. Our room was clean and had a large bed, and the shower was ok, but the towels provided were very thin and frayed! Not a big deal, but the coffee cups were really awkward to use as the handles looked like they had been fixed upside down. They must have been seconds. Our room overlooked an ugly building and parked van. There was a notice in the bathroom expressing the managements concern regarding the environment, which I would wholeheartedly support. It was therefore very disappointing to be provided with plastic cups. The hotel requires a total upgrade in all areas. I’d like to re-iterate that all the staff in the hotel were delightful. I think you will have gathered by now that we will definitely not be returning and would not recommend. We have since checked into a hotel for our second nights stay, paying considerably less for a beautiful room with an amazing view. "

"My third visit. Very comfortable bed and clean bedroom and bathroom. On site EV charging is a great facility, plus easy parking. Whilst no cooked breakfast what is offered is very good and there is plenty to eat. Great pub with excellent food - very generous portions. Very accessible to be able to explore Dorset and the option of the train station on the door step is perfect if you don’t drive."
