"Downtown area where hotel is located not best area. Rooms small. Average hotel breakfast. Booked non refundable 10 months early and called 1 month ahead to request the 2 rooms booked be next to one another and was denied. Contact them for same 1 week prior and they agreed...gave us 2 of their worst street side rooms. We arrived 1 hour early and were denied early check in despite them having use of our funds for 10 months. Riots still active there in Puerto Montt during our stay Feb. 20-22, right...

"Very friendly staff, very spacious comfortable room with great shower and tub. It had a free breakfast that was brought directly to our room at the time that we requested. Large windows gave us a great view of the beach. The bed and floor looked less than immaculate but were certainly clean enough. I would recommend this hotel."

"Really cannot provide a valued rating here because I did not stay on their site for these dates. I had scheduled this hotel through Expedia, but made a mistake on the dates selected. As I was setting up a number of hotels for October trip, the Expedia site defaulted me back to September of which I did not catch before i booked the trip. "Very pleasant hostal superbly located in a bohemian area of town a block away from the university. Very simpatico, well maintained, friendly. It can be a little noisy from other rooms and from the nearby bars on weekends. I found that celestial white noise on YouTube played throughout the night at a certain volume alleviated problems with music both at night and from others moving about the hotel in the morning."
