Lovely location, staff very helpful and kind. Rooms clean and well stocked with coffee etc. View from our room was stunning and the temperature in the room was perfect, the ability to open the window at night was good. The menu was not the largest and didn't change through the week but the food we did have was excellent.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Marmalade and wished we had more time to stay even longer. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had on our 3-week trip, the views are incredible, beds comfortable, and facilities / grounds very clean and beautiful. 10/10 highly recommend!

This was a perfect find. Although the room we had was a little small it was immaculately clean and very warm. Bed was big and very comfy. Added value were the spa and sauna.
The Restaurant was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was exceptional and the homemade muffins a real treat.Although this was more expensive than other hotels, if you make use of all on offer it is a great choice. The location is perfect for getting around the island. The little village it is located in as...

Great hotel on the water with an excellent restaurant. It was hard to find a hotel on the Isle of Skye, but we were extremely fortunate to find a room here on short notice.

Booking in was very easy. There was an envelope left inside the door with my name and room number on.
The room was lovely - not huge but big enough for 2 with a lovely bathroom, nice thick towels and hand soap, body wash and shampoo and conditioner in the shower cubicle. The heated towel rail was a nice touch making the bathroom nice and cosy so you weren’t coming out of the shower to a cold room ( nothing worse)
There were tea and coffee facilities too with a nice biscuit on the side!

Very well presented property, stunning surroundings.
Communication from the owner was very poor, no response to any messages prior to my stay and I had to ring to find out which cabin I was stopping in and how to collect my keys.
This was by far the most expensive accommodation I’ve booked while working in and around the whole of Scotland for the last 3 year and I would have expected the check in to be flawless for the price paid.

We arrived in darkness and were welcomed into a cosy bar with an open fire and comfy lounge area. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and had even offered to prepare us a meal as we wouldn’t be arriving before the kitchen closed at 9pm. The room was beautiful and I loved the style, a lovely nip of whiskey awaited us and some shortbread. The room was immaculate with cosy dressing gowns. When we woke up the next day we couldn’t believe the view from our room right across the sea. We will return...

The double room with king size bed was spotless, bamboo mattress was very comfortable
A good easy to use shower, only fault was no extras ie shower cap, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, these are basic in most hotels
I would also have like more shelf space in the bathroom
The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and helpful
Breakfast was continental which suited me, plenty of choice but no cooked breakfast available
Evening meal was basic and edible
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would...

Mayanne was a lovely host. The room was comfortable, warm and we had a lovely view over the Loch. We arrived soaked after a hike to the Fairy Pools and Mayanne kindly dried our coats for us in her private rooms.
There was an Indian within walking distance and breakfast next day was nice albeit there was no cooked breakfast offered. Nice little place and we would definitely stay again 😊. Hope the weather is better next time ,

The best time to go to Sligachan is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to October) to experience the most pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
During these months, you'll generally find more stable weather conditions, with less rainfall and moderate temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the stunning landscapes around Sligachan. The days are long enough for extensive outdoor activities, and the midges, which can be a nuisance in summer, are typically less prevalent. This period offers excellent opportunities for photography, with clear visibility and beautiful light.
For those planning to embark on hiking or climbing adventures, these shoulder seasons provide optimal conditions. The trails are less busy than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more tranquil experience of the Cuillin Mountains.
