"Only spent a couple of nights here but could definitely have stayed longer. Cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The owners are really helpful and none intrusive. Complimentary wine and fresh bread are a lovely touch.(bread definitely a winner) Property is very handy for Ely and Cambridge. Use the park and ride for Cambridge. It's good value and cheaper than parking in the centre."

"This is a lovely, spacious and well-appointed house. It was too hot to make best use of the duvets, but the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery - and a dishwasher to avoid the washing up. The powered recliners were especially welcome after a day of much walking. Naturally there is quite a lot of farm activity in the area, but it was far enough away not to be intrusive, and the people on the farm were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a property to remember."

"A lovely loft apartment, within the owner's beautiful garden. Kate was the perfect host - friendly and prompt to help with any problems that we had. We were also provided with fabulous welcome gifts of food, drink and flowers from the garden! Just one thing - if you are older/less mobile, the bath can be difficult to get in and out of without help. We had a lovely relaxed week, as did Dave the dog!"

"The cottage was everything I would expect in a historical English cottage with vibrant walled gardens and cozy accommodations. (The living room furniture could have been more comfortable). It was a perfect location to visit the many small towns, parks, cathedrals and castles. Our hostess, Eileen was very accommodating and even gave us a tour of the old (originally built in 1530) West Stow Hall. I would definitely stay again. "The property was clean, very well-equipped and cosy. The only downside was the internet TV which was difficult for two 80 year olds to operate!! However, this was an unimportant factor and was more down to our inadequacies than the property. Bury St Edmunds is a short drive with easy parking. Saffron Walden is a lovely quaint town - again easy to get to with excellent parking. Park and Ride for Cambridge was convenient. We would definitely recommend this property."

"Stayed over Easter 2023 and had a fantastic time at Beck Cottage. Well equipped with everything needed for a short stay, with great communication beforehand from the owners. Beds were comfy and TVs in the two bedrooms were a bonus. Price was very good considering the facilities and the location. "This is a lovely well appointed cottage, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. It is clearly a period property with low ceilings in most rooms, narrow stairs and a beam in the floor of the main bedroom. All of this adds to its charm but would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. "We really enjoyed our stay at this thatched house near Bury St.Edmunds and we found so much to do in the area that our week-long stay passed very quickly. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the perfect garden, enjoying several meals at the outside table. An very unusual place that we were fascinated by was Grimes Graves, a Neolithic flint mine."

"Very spacious room which was even better than the photos. Lovely to be so close to the Raptor Park and the free entrance that came with the room. Kitchen areas was great.
