"Hotel was very nice and location great. The reception was wonderful. But after checking out, waiting for our train, the hotel lobby attendant was rude to us. Told us we couldn’t have plastic water bottles in the lounge area (while others did). He followed my husband into the restroom and stayed in there until my husband left. We’ve never been treated like that at any other hotel in the world."

"We stayed at Villa Igiea six nights.The grounds are impeccably beautiful , well kept ,maintained daily and romantic. It is so serene to sit outdoor anywhere on the property daydream,have conversation or have an exceptional drink. The bar is exceptional with its elegance,menu and service.Has historic look. The two restaurants have interesting choice menus each in their own rights and different settings.Me and my family tried several of the offerings, they were all done to perfection. The rooms are well appointed with all the conveniences ,comfort and elegance .Beautiful views of the sea and the port from the balcony. The SERVICE in ALL aspects was delivered on a silver platter We enjoyed our stay immensely.Thanks for ALL the staff that make this Villa glimer !"

"As a 3-star hotel, the Mediterraneo is excellent value for money and perfectly situated close to the Teatro Massimo and via Macqueda. The breakfast is excellent. However, it is a pity there is no kettle in the room for making tea or coffee. Also, there was no shower cap or shower gel. I have been coming to the Mediterraneo for 51 years (since 1975!). It has always been great under successive management. However, I would like to see a little more by way of facilities in the room, including also a stocked mini-bar."
