"Feels like an upmarket hotel with really attentive staff. Unfortunately my room, despite being really spacious looked tired and worn. The communal areas are very welcoming and they have a good breakfast. Swimming pool also looks a bit tired. Sauna area and gym are really good."

"The check in was very quick and we got to our room dumped our bags and went for something to eat. On going out later we tried the bar area , very nice and comfortable with friendly staff. We will be stopping at the hotel again as I want to use the pool and gym next visit. "

Parking at a partner property relatively close was OK though frankly road network in Sheffield is now a nightmare (make sure your satnav is up to date and just resign yourself to driving much further than line of sight!). Our bathroom was a little bit "tired" - slow basin runaway and wobbly loo seat."

"Unfortunately this hotel was not what the photos highlighted. I appreciate it is an old building but it was very worn. The reception area was cold and the man on reception was only concerned about the wedding guest that were staying. Not helpful at all. Food was overpriced in the bar area. Cold dark and dingy is the only way to describe this place."
