We had driven past the George on our way to a further destination in October and decided to have Sunday lunch there on our way back as it looked rather stunning. We had a fantastic Sunday roast. We then decided a Xmas treat was due and we chose to stay the night on the 19th of December. Our expectations were met with overall high standards. I stayed here just one night, but I had a fabulously comfortable sleep! The room was a good size, very clean and recently decorated (my visit was March 2017). As a wheelchair user, I can also say the accessibility is pretty good. There was a slight problem getting through the entrance door as the threshold is a bit high, but staff were quick to assist in getting me through a more appropriate door. They were also instrumental in getting by baggage into the room! I had requested a wheelchair...
