"La Colonica is large and beautifully furnished - we only used one, but there are 2 large double bedrooms with showers. The hosts are very friendly, and David is English, so no communication problems. We were free to roam about the grounds - there is an olive grove attatched. There is an enormous, friendly dog who leaves white hairs all over you! The only drawback is that in the village (very picturesque) there are only 2 places to eat - 1 pizzeria and 1 restaurant. "Where to even begin? We loved everything about our stay. Stefania was wonderful, and responsive to our many questions before we even arrived. Upon arrival, it felt like a dream. The Villa is beautiful, private, and expansive. The property is huge, with lots of olive trees, fig trees, and places for the kids to play and explore. "We had the most amazing time at Il Poggio! The property is well maintained, Roberta and Marina were incredible, and the location could not be beat. We took day trips (by car) to Siena, Arezzo, Florence, Orvieto, and Montalcino, all of which were easily and quickly accessible. "This is a stunning property with a stunning view that photos simply cannot do justice to. My only reservation was the very poor directions to find it and some difficulty getting a hot water issue sorted out . The garden is stunningly beautiful and lavender bushes a hive of activity for bees and gorgeous butterflies that did not desturb us in any way even when standing in their midst observing them closely. "I'm 72, and I can't say enough about what a wonderful stay I had at the Jino House. It seems like the perfect location. 20 minutes from Siena, and the train station in Siena, so that I could easily make daytrips by bus or train to Pisa, and Florence. The trains and buses were very easy to navigate. The house is darling, and has all the amenities you need to live comfortably. The view outside of the gated courtyard was spectacular.
