My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel for a week in January 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel has great amenities (indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna, restaurant, bar, indoor/outdoor parking, ski room) and fantastic staff! The hotel is conveniently located in Val Gardena with easy access by car, shuttle and bus to local ski slopes! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The hotel staff is superb! Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Portillo Dolomites 1966'.

One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The room was very spacious, super clean and comfortable. The location was very handy with the bus stop right outside and restaurants across the road. The spa was amazing especially the large heater outdoor pool under the mountains. The only small ‘complaints’ I would mention : - the room was very warm and there was no way to turn the temperature down. When we asked downstairs they confirmed that the heating is managed centrally and suggested we open our balcony door which we did. It wasn’t a huge problem because the open door and cold nights made the room temperature good by the time we went to bed but it was a constant challenge for us to regulate the room temperature temperature and not sure how it would be possible in the warmer months. - the tv was locked down in ‘hotel mode’ so that you couldn’t log into Netflix , prime, Disney etc and we were stuck with the local Italian stations. Again not a huge issue but most hotels these days connect their smart tvs to the internet so that their guests can access their streaming services so I don’t know why this hotel Does not allow this. Presumably it’s to control their wifi usage. Other than those two small issues I think this place is magnificent.

Very nice property and breakfast. Room was spacious but no fan or AC. Pools were vary nice after a ay of hiking but no hot tub.

Just a standout, excellent hotel in every way. The staff are warm and welcoming across the board. The hotel itself is beautiful with unique design touches. The spa is lovely and well designed. Breakfast is fantastic. Truly one of the best stays I've had during a month in Europe.

My whole family loved this hotel. The pools, the rooms, the saunas and the location are a short walk to selva square and championi gondola.

Fantastiskt läge i idyllisk miljö. Hotellet överträffade våra förväntningar och var väldigt mysigt, rent och snyggt samt med mycket hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka och kan varmt rekommendera ett besök i fantastiska Selva sommar som vinter.

Die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals und das Spa sind sensationell. Die Crema Füllmaschine für die Croissants ist der Hit. Lediglich das WLAN braucht ein Update. 100% Empfehlung von mir.

Honeymoon Oasis

I'm not sure I can express how much my husband and I enjoyed this place. It was the PERFECT getaway away from it all. There was no hustle and bustle and barely any tourists. We felt like locals as we took short walks to the grocery store and nearby restaurants. But what made this place stand out was the amenities that they provided. Every evening, we watched the sunset on the front deck over looking the Dolomites with a glass of wine cuddled under a blanket that the hotel provided. During the day, we enjoyed the beautiful and new spa & infinity pool that had a BREATHTAKING view of the mountains as well. It was just incredible how magnificent the views were. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we barely wanted to leave it. However, the hotel does provide you with daily outdoor activities to get you outside to enjoy the beautiful Italian alps by hiking, biking, etc. The hotel staff was very accommodating to make sure that you had the ultimate experience. My husband and I already talked about coming back for our 5 year anniversary.

Ho soggiornato in questo splendido hotel per una notte. Le camere sono davvero pulite e confortevoli. Hall spaziosa e molto bella. Colazione clamorosa! Servizio molto buono. Unica nota: migliorerei il wi fi. In ogni caso, 5 stelle, ci tornerò!

Fantastic hotel, lovely decor and welcoming & warm

Fantastic hotel! Stayed for 2 nights in July, hotel staff were very friendly. We were in a suite, room was clean, lovely furnishings and great view of the mountains. Bathroom was big and great shower. The hotel has a warm welcoming feel to it and lots of areas to chill out and relax. Spa area was lovely, we spent several hours lying on the sun beds relaxing.
