"Great stay at Hotel Engel!
I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Engel. The staff were incredibly helpful with all of my questions, the room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the surrounding view outside the hotel was absolutely incredible. Tucked into the rolling hills of Canton Lucerne, this charming village offers panoramic hiking trails and traditional Swiss farm experiences. Reserve time to explore the nearby Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve, where guided nature walks reveal hidden alpine meadows and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Very nice hotel, helpful staff, dog friendly, good location, facilities in village and great views, (+ easy access off autoroute). Breakfast & evening meal very good. Room good size. Lift access. Can't fault this hotel. So is there a negative? Only one, the chirch nearby has a clock thst chimes the hours and the quarters if that's not enough it also rings all the bells at 05.00! So if you are a light sleeper and like to sleep with the window open a bit, just bear this in mind

Beautiful spacious modern apartment in a good location . Wish there was an oven and a freezer as we brought some frozen oven meals for dinner and had to chuck them away but otherwise loved the apartment .

This is conveniently located for an overnight stay while travelling. For a motorway hotel it is comfortable, quiet and pleasant.

Titlis lift walking distance, amazing breakfast. The hotel is cozy and the village beautiful and amazing. One of our best holidays. Hotel is not 5 star, didn’t bother us. It is an old building with lots of character. Breakfast catered to vegans as well as avo-lacto. Staff helpful. Train station 1 minute walk.

Gorgeous hotel close to the centre. Clean, hot shower and lovely room with a view of the lake. Could not have asked for better service, especially Victoria who was so generous with both her time and knowledge. Recommendations were excellent! Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Stayed for 4 nights in mid October, room and facilities were well up to the standards I expected, breakfast buffet fine, evening meals very good if a little pricy (but being a Brit who is suffering some fall out from Exchange rates due to Brexit then everything seems pricy!).
Of particular note I found the staff very friendly and helpful, this claims to be a family run hotel and for me this showed in how the staff conducted themselves.
