We were in Switzerland for 10 days and although we were only at this location one night it was hands down the nicest room of the stay. The lake view room was so beautiful. Upon arrival the greeting was very friendly (and in perfect English). We were given details of the hotel, breakfast times, amenities such as Hot Tub and Sauna Boat for hire etc. We were also given a FREE bus pass for the duration of our stay. The bus service to and from Lucerne was regular and only 20 mins, the bus stop is literally 30 seconds from leaving the reception of the hotel. We used the bus every day. The room was spacious, a big bed, it was very warm and the bathroom had a great super-powerful shower. On the first night we had a cheese fondue in the private huts they have at the back of the hotel. It was great fun eating out zero degrees. We were kept warm by heated seat cushions and plenty of blankets. The only negative was it was foggy and the lake view we booked wasn’t there, obviously not the hotel’s fault. Hotel was gorgeous and right on a lake with mountains all around. Food was spectacular and eating next to the picturesque view made it even better. With all that being said, the front desk kind of stole the show.
