The apartment is on the top floor of a two-family house at the end of a cul-de-sac in a good, very quiet residential area. It has 2 bedrooms, one with double beds, the other with 2 separate beds. Bed linen and towels are included. The comforters are boil-proof and suitable for allergy sufferers. From the dining/living room there is access to the large balcony to the west with a seating area and loungers. An electric barbecue is available on request. In the living room there is a flat-screen TV and a shelf with books, children's books and a collection of games. The bathroom with bathtub, shower and WC, 2 washbasins and mirror cabinet has natural light through a skylight. The fitted kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and egg boiler, toaster, all necessary cooking and eating utensils, tea towels and washing-up and cleaning products. If required, a washing machine and tumble dryer can be used in the laundry room for a fee. You are also welcome to use the garden, which blooms beautifully in summer. A parking lot is available at the house. An electric car can also be charged there with a wallbox (12 KW). The apartment is ideal for families with slightly older children and business travelers. Schwäbisch Gmünd is located 50 km east of the state capital Stuttgart. Here you will find many hiking and cycling trails in scenic surroundings. A particularly beautiful cycle path runs through Straßdorf on a disused railroad line. Schwäbisch Gmünd can be easily reached in 15 minutes and Göppingen in approx. 1 hour. Die Wohnung ist sehr ge Pros: Die Ferienwohnung von Fam. Bauchert möchten wir in jeder Hinsicht empfehlen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich, geräumig und umfasst sogar zwei große Balkone, die zum ausgiebigen Verweilen einladen. Auch am Interieur gibt es nichts auszusetzen, alles was man - auch bei längerem Aufenthalt - benötigt, findet man vor. Hinzu kommt die großartige Gastfreundschaft der Gastgeber: Man fühlt sich vom ersten Augenblick an sehr willkommen. Auch liegt die Ferienwohnung - fast am Fuße des Rechbergs - sehr günstig: Einerseits ist die nächste Umgebung sehr ruhig, kann man in Ruhe spazieren gehen, praktisch vom Haus weg Richtung Kaiserberge wandern oder - noch besser - ganz im Grünen auf einer nahe gelegenen ehemaligen Bahntrasse viele Kilometer beschaulich Fahrrad fahren. Andererseits ist es mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nur ein Katzensprung nach Schwäbisch Gmünd (wohin man auch auf der besagten Bahntrasse ohne große Anstrengung per Rad gelangen kann). Außerdem lässt sich der Lebensmitteleinkauf im örtlichen, gut sortierten Supermarkt (10 bis 15 min zu Fuß, 5 min per Rad oder 2 Busstationen Richtung Gmünd) ohne Probleme tätigen. Alles in allem sind wir sehr gerne bei Fam. Bauchert zu Gast gewesen: Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Und so geht es weiter. Wie im Hotel: An jedem Bett eine Flasche Wasser und auf jedem Kopfkissen zwei kleine Schokolädle. Im Kühlschrank ein Pikkolo Sekt und ein kaltes Bier. Da fängt der Urlaub gleich richtig an. Auf dem Balkon (oder soll ich lieber Freifläche mit Aussicht schreiben?) steht für die Kinder schon ein Planschbecken bereit, gefüllt mit warmem Wasser und Spielsachen. Die ganze Wohnung ist SEHR sauber. Das Wohnzimmer ist SEHR groß. Auch dort ist schon eine Spielecke mit Spielsachen für die Kinder eingerichtet. Wohin mit den Fahrrädern? „Kein Problem, hier ist Platz. Richten Sie es sich ein, wie Sie wollen.“ Am letzten Tag, beim Verladen unserer Sachen ins Auto, entdeckten wir ein Glas selbstgemachte Marmelade. „Aus der Küche von Mama Bauchert“ verriet das Etikett. „Nehmen Sie es doch einfach als Abschiedsgeschenk mit.“ meinte Frau Bauchert lächelnd. So hatten wir auch zu Hause beim Frühstück noch eine schöne Erinnerung an die tolle Zeit bei der netten Familie Bauchert. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub bei Ihnen.
