A delightful villa with many original feature along side more modern facilities. A hillside location above the main town with views across the valley. Excellent dining and great service.

Charming Location

Gorgeous location woth funhistoric detail and architectural character. Rooms are clean but moderate. Staff is friendly and food is excellent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing tho we followed a large group so that might explain the minimal choice

Dieses Hotel hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Leider war mein Zimmer schon etwas abgewohnt. Hier müsste einfach mal renoviert werden. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt entfernt.

Das Hotel ist von Außen sehr schön und vermittelt den Charme eines guten Mittelklasse Hotels.. So bald wie man aber in das innere des Gebäudes kommt erlebt man den Charme von fawlty towers. Man erwartet Manuell in jeder Sekunde . Dies kann zwar charming sein passt aber nicht in die heutige Zeit. Der Service im Restaurat war schnell, das Essen gut die Auswahl auf der Karte erklärungsbedürftig. aber ansprechend. Deutsche Klassiker und einen Hauch Agypten. Was für eine Kombination. So wie der Rest des Hauses. Man muss es mögen.

Mooi hotel met een uniek karakter. Logeren in de villa van de voormalige Landrat, ofwel voorzitter van de Kreis Diez. Mooi restaurant. Op warme zomerdagen kan in de tuin worden dineerd. Kortom behoorlijk anders. De kamers zijn ruim. Badkamer is schoon, maar beetje zakelijk. Kortom unieke ervaring.

Schöne Umgebung, schöne alte Villa mit Charme, der Restaurantbereich ist bereits renoviert, das Zimmer leider noch nicht. Die Dusche ist klitzeklein, die Duschtüren sind nicht mehr richtig fest und nur schwer zu bewegen, überall sind Kalkablagerungen. Im Zimmer riecht es unangenehm nach Essensgerüchen. Dies ist durch Lüften leider nicht zu beheben.

Visiting castles and old towns in the surroundings

This is a very pleasant hotel, quiet, just outside of city centre in a nice neighbourhood. Friendly and quick service to get a minor defect immediately fixed and friendly restaurant staff as well. We very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!
