Top Scarborough Hotel Reviews

Grand Hotel Scarborough
6/10 Okay
"I think it needs a bit of TLC and the room I was in was very noisy. Could do with that sorting out."

Bike & Boot
10/10 Excellent
"Great location for both centre of Scarborough and also to the dog accessible beach. Rooms were very nice and modern. Rain capes and fan were provided which was excellent.
The longe area was very nice too - great hotel fit staying with dog"

Mayfield Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Room very spacious and clean
Bed comfortable
Breakfast excellent
Would stay here again. Could have been a little less noisy due to party going on but on the whole an excellent stay"

Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough by Compass Hospitality
10/10 Excellent
"Only downside was a child urinating in the pool
Not the hotels fault tho. "

The Royal Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Awful hotel - in a poor state of repaIr and everything is chargeable inc. the so-called pool (actually more like a paddle pool!), even towels at the pool are charged at £2/towel! No hotel parking - buy a permit from the hotel at £10/permit or park at a nearby NCP car park for £6.50/day. Rooms are very basic with awful.views other than the sea view rooms - basic furniture, some mould in bathrooms and some cracked ceilingbtiles. Only good thing is the English breakfast and location by the sea."

The Sands - Sea Front Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Lockton 6 apartment. Brilliant location right on the beach very handy as i had young kids and family members with mobility issues with me. Was great for nipping back to get a change of clothes or snacks.
The apartment and location ticked all our boxes and staff were friendly. The on site parking was great. The apartment itself had everything we needed pots, pans, dishes cutlery, dishwasher iron/board, hoover, ensuite in each room, spa bath in master bedroom, washer dryer definitely a plus after spending time on the sandy beach.
Our apartment had amazing veiws sitting on the balcony to take it all in. My husband enjoyed using the in house gym.
Local Onestop had all we needed for our self catering stay & very reasonably priced. We didnt eat at the nearby restaurants/Cafes as they dont cater for halal diets but a quick google search showed a halal fish & chip shop only a 4 minute drive away- Scarborough Fish and Chips. We had a halal takeaway from The Food Shack the night we arrived. Lots of nearby dessert/ice cream places too.
Was our 1st time visiting Scarborough and it did not disappoint. We've recommended The Sands Apartments to family and friends. The location on the quieter North Bay was ideal for us. Only a short drive to the more busier South Bay with the usual seaside attractions to enjoy. There's local parks within walking distance.
We were lucky the weather was nice for us rained on the morning we checked out. "
