"We stayed 2 nights in a room with no window (our choice). The liquid soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The carpet outside our room was dirty. The main lounge and dining room look lovely. The Sunday evening entertainment was pleasant"

"Beautiful location for the wedding we went to. The food and staff were excellent. However, the hotel is in the process of refurbishment and some rooms are definitely better than others. The staff work really hard but they could definitely do with a few more of them. Overall a lovely stay but for the room price of approximately £200 per nights I would expect a little more in my room than I got."

"Lovely hotel with old school charm and wonderful helpful staff. Very dog friendly and made our dog very welcome with treats and even breakfast sausage. The breakfast was outstanding being freshly cooked with high quality produce. A really thoughtful touch was the offer of tableware to enjoy a takeaway in the room (and enjoy the view) which again was really dog friendly as it can be hard finding eateries that welcome dogs. Location great just over the road from South Cliff gardens which are stunning. No problem finding free street parking nearby. Will definitely return. Thanks."

"Courteous staff. Good selection of food at breakfast but I was told that I could not have a cappuccino at breakfast time! As I only eat a croissant with a cappuccino for breakfast, I had to cross the road to a coffee shop. Parking facility was good. For dinner, I opted for the plaice, only to find that the size of the portion was about right for a five years old. The quiet ambience in the dining room was appreciated. Overall, I think that eating out elsewhere would have been preferable"
