The streets branching off the Avenida are often pedestrian-friendly and lead to charming squares and historic buildings.Couples will find the historic centre an excellent base. The best time to go to Santa Maria Da Graca is during late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.During these shoulder seasons, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the area's natural beauty and historic sites without the intense heat of summer. The tourist attractions and restaurants are fully operational, but you'll find fewer visitors than in the peak summer months. This allows for a more relaxed and authentic experience, whether you're visiting the Arrábida Natural Park or enjoying the local cuisine. For travellers who enjoy beach holidays and swimming, the peak summer months of July and August offer the warmest sea temperatures and plenty of sunshine. However, this is also the busiest time, with more visitors and higher prices for accommodation.
