Escape to a stunning mountain retreat where sweeping views, refined comfort, and inviting outdoor spaces create the perfect getaway. Designed for larger families or groups, this beautifully appointed home features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two distinct living areas, ample parking, and a private courtyard.
Inside, the main living room is a cozy wood-burning Kiva fireplace, comfy seating and a large-screen TV for relaxed evenings. The sleeping layout is both generous and flexible: the primary suite features a king bed, the second bedroom offers a queen bed, and the additional living space includes a queen bed, sofa bed, and trundle bed, comfortably hosting up to six guests. (For parties exceeding six guests, a $20 per-stay fee applies to accommodate extra linens and enhanced cleaning).
The light-filled kitchen with gas cooking opens seamlessly to a covered deck and a spacious view deck beyond. Outdoors, soak in the hot tub or gather around the chimenea for a cozy evening surrounded by mountain air and unforgettable scenery.

Such a great house!

Perfect Santa Fe home base. Stayed there with my parents and my in laws. Location was perfect - convenient to plaza but super quiet and great stargazing! Kitchen is big and nicely equipped. Bedrooms are spacious with lots of storage for belongings. Deck is beautiful and view is spectacular! Highly recommend.

The House of Peace was perfect for us!

Our family of 5 (all adults) stayed here to visit our youngest son. The house was close to both downtown Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Opera (we saw 3 performances), which was really convenient for us. The kitchen was well equipped and the view from the back deck was amazing! we enjoyed the hot tub as well and will book again if we come to Santa Fe again. Thanks so much!

Property was very lovely and comfortable. 5 star property. It was a hot one and the AC was great. Cooled down at night and open windows was nice. It was clean and tidy. Only recommendation is a better coffee pot and a large bread knife. Highly recommend.

Unfortunate experience

As a five-star, VRBO host myself, I take these reviews very seriously. The house was generally nice…In need of a remodel to update the dated and lackluster interior, but the view makes up for this. What was intolerable in this visit was a broken glass patio door that continued to drop shards of glass both on the deck and inside the home when the door was used. The owner did not inform us of this in advance and we did not know that the door should not be used. This resulted in broken shards of glass on the floor and one of the guests cutting her foot to the point where she could not walk around downtown Santa Fe during her stay. When we told the owner about this, he said it was a decision that he made not to remove the door or at least tape the jagged glass edges and when told someone was hurt. He said “I don’t care.” this is not the kind of host I would rent from again.

Lovely stay, but room for improvement

I’ll start with why I did not leave a 5 start review, then get into the positive. Check in was not easy. First, the address was wrong. Host didn’t seem too fussed about it, though I did not appreciate my 80-something year old in-laws waiting in the dark and cold because of this error. Host only sends a boilerplate email without any specifics (and wrong address) for check-in. I only received more information a few hours after check-in when I asked for some clarification. Even with more info, the details provided only make sense if you are very familiar with the property, and if you arrive in the middle of the day, which is not possible. So my advice: request all the details early and arrive before sundown. Secondly, they do not provide any specifics for the house. No house booklet with information about how the hot tub works, or the steam bath, or any other rarer amenities. Makes it hard to use them. It would be more seamless and welcoming with a small info packet like many other short term rentals. This little effort would go a long way. Finally, the person who cleans the hot tub arrived the morning after we checked in. It would have been nice to have received a heads up before someone randomly drove onto the driveway and entered the property without telling us. The hot tub was then unusable for days because if the excess amount chlorine, which defeated the purpose the rental for meLocation is good (not walkable though)View is wonderful. House is excellent.

We booked this as a place to celebrate family Thanksgiving and it was such an amazing kitchen stocked with all possible cookware and amazing serving ware. The living room was a comfortable place for us to relax and the sunsets from the deck were amazing. Our group needed every sleep space and the sofa bed mattress was quite old and uncomfortable, but the host was very responsive and had a mattress pad for us right away. Highly recommend!

Wow, just WOW! This was everything we wanted in a vacation home. Great location, beautiful home, scenic views, peaceful, super well-equipped, lots of room, by far the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed at, and a kind and responsive host. The house is done in a southwestern style that is comfortable and cozy. It has northern New Mexico adobe style that is filled with artistic touches. The front courtyard is a delightful place to sit and enjoy the hummingbirds that flit around. The back deck has fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Great Santa Fe Getaway

The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to give people plenty of space to relax. The large kitchen and dining area made it great for enjoying our meals and playing dominoes. We loved the view, jacuzzi and deck that provided even more space to enjoy. The artwork and photography on the wall were fantastic and overall it was a great curated and cozy home.

This is not just a VRBO, this is a HOME. The attention to detail was so welcome and appreciated. I'm super picky about our VRBOS but this one blew me away. They have EVERYTHING! Which really cut down on what we needed to buy. We were a family of 4 just looking to do life in a cooler location and experience some nature and culture. We made many meals in the excellent kitchen and spent most mornings and evenings on the incredible porches and in the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the setup is great if you have kids! Just walking the neighborhood is a treat! This house is simply incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the management! Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!
