"We had fabulous 3 night stay at Locanda Il Maestrale. The location towards the end of the main shopping street in old town Monterosso is excellent as it is quiet and convenient yet close to the shopping district and many excellent restaurants. It is also a short walk to the public beach and beach club in old town, the ferry dock and less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hosts were friendly and helpful and met us upon arrival for an easy check in and showing of the room and property. The daily breakfast included with the room was very good with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cold meats, coffee, tea, juice and other items served in the outdoor covered terrace. Coffee, pastries, fruit and a cold water dispenser were available 24/7. If you are looking for a conveniently located bed and breakfast with friendly hosts, clean and quiet rooms and a healthy delicious breakfast Locanda Il Maestrale comes highly recommended."

"Simona was the absolute best host and her place is fantastic! The location was incredible - right in the heart of old Monterosso where all of the shops, restaurants and markets are located. It’s a quick five minute walk to the beach and about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Simona went out of her way to provide all sorts of recommendations and even made dinner reservations for our family at some of the best restaurants that Monterosso has to offer. I would absolutely come back and stay here without any question. The apartment is very well appointed and clean. The rooftop deck is also a nice bonus for those evening drinks."

The views from my room were unbelievable, offering breathtaking scenery that made my stay even more memorable. And we enjoyed a great breakfast with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"The hotel is perfectly located just off the beach. It does not have the feel of a beach hotel but of a calm air-conditioned respite. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good, but needs more spark. The front patio fountain and many chairs created a warm atmosphere. The hotel seemed to have more vibrance than other Monterosso al mare lodging options. Perhaps the most essentially located and comfortable hotels in all of Cinque Terre."

"Just a fantastic hotel with great views, a great restaurant, pool, access to hiking and free mini bus transportation down and up the hill to Monterosso. Beach is nice, easy access to train and I highly recommend taking the boat ride with Stefano who you will find in the marina. Great hotel, very clean."
