We were welcomed by the most amazing hosts. They were natives of Riomaggiore who went to school together and are passionate on educating people about their town, their wines, their way of life. I highly recommend this place. The location is perfect to explore. Their attention to detail in the room and with coffee, cold water, orange juice and snacks on arrival made us feel welcome. They met us at the parking lot (must be reserved ahead of time since there are very limited spots) and helped guide us down the many steps. This is not a good place for people that can’t climb many sets of stairs. The beds were comfortable. There are amazing restaurants, gelato, a wine bar and a boat tour spot right out front of the hotel. The train is less than a 10 minute walk. You hear the active tourist chatter at night and the businesses opening up in the morning (which we loved), so if you are a light sleeper, bring a set of ear plugs.
We would love to come back in the future.
