Directly across the street, a quiet pocket park borders miles of open space, offering beautiful Bishop Peak views right from the front patio and windows. Sip your morning coffee while watching the sun light up the hillside, or unwind outdoors as the sky turns gold in the evenings. Our street is wonderfully calm, with very little traffic — a great place for kids to safely roam, play, and explore. The fenced backyard offers an outdoor dining area ideal for family meals, barbecues, or simply enjoying the coastal air. The semi-fenced front patio provides another peaceful spot to lounge with a book, a conversation, or a glass of wine. Inside the Home Homestead on Collados is 3 bedrooms + an open loft and 3 full bathrooms, thoughtfully arranged to comfortably accommodate families and groups. Primary Bedroom: Queen bed with full en-suite bathroom (tub/shower combo) Upstairs Loft: A spacious, open-concept retreat with a king bed and private full bathroom (shower). Please note the loft has no door but offers excellent space and privacy otherwise. Two Additional Bedrooms: Each with a full-size bed—cozy, calm, and perfect for kids or additional guests. Floors: Hardwood throughout the home, lending charm and warmth (and a little shared sound, as wood floors do). Location, Location, Location You’re wonderfully close to everything: \~1 mile to Irish Hills Open Space (miles of stunning hiking and biking trails) \~1 mile to a local coffee shop, grocery store, restaurants, and more \~4 miles to Cal Poly Walkable to a middle school with a dirt running track, soccer/football fields, basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball courts \~4 miles (bike-able!) to Downtown SLO — full of award-winning restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, bars, farmers markets, and the historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Within 15 miles of some of the Central Coast’s most beautiful beaches and wineries. Comfort & Climate As with most SLO homes, ours does not have air conditioning, but our coastal climate stays moderate most of the year. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and, during warmer months, we provide a fan and small air conditioning unit in the loft upstairs to keep spaces comfortable. A Note About Noise San Luis Obispo has a very strict noise ordinance. This home is best suited for guests seeking a peaceful stay rather than loud gatherings, outdoor music, or parties. Courtney and Ken are extremely communicative and were very easy to get in touch with. We were showing the area to our niece/cousin who is interested in Cal Poly, and the home was a terrific central location for getting to campus, downtown, Montano de Oro state park, Pismo Beach, and I'm sure other nearby attractions we didn't have the chance to explore. Great central location in a safe neighborhood, and only a short drive from restaurants downtown. Dog-friendly property too! The upstairs bedroom is a loft, so no door and noise travels easily. The upstairs bathroom has very low ceilings so showering was difficult for an adult of average height. Additionally, the extra cleaning fees seemed steep compared to other properties, so take that into consideration as this will affect your budget. Overall, this home fit our requirements of being close to downtown and open to children/dogs and we had a wonderful stay, however the layout of the home wasn't ideal for containing noise. ##### Abigail H. We felt at home from the moment we stepped inside the bright, comfortable and well appointed interior. The kitchen is full of quality appliances and colorful Le Creuset cookware. It was an excellent choice for cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. There's so much to do in the area - beaches, parks, shopping - but one could be quite happy in this neighborhood with views of the lake and mountains and a nice backyard for the pups to play plus a henhouse where we collected eggs. ##### Carol R. The property was better than expected. It had all the amenities of home - good beds, equipped kitchen, and plenty of seating for good conversations.
