Especially around sunset as the shadows on the surrounding peak’s make every ridge dramatic. On our third day the fog rolled into the valley and the peaks are all that jut out for a magical view. Host was very communicative from the beginning. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the place. We were also welcomed by his two sweet golden retrievers. Both the home and the views were absolutely stunning. We felt like we were on a castle in the clouds. My son had an amazing time as well, one he will always remember between spending time with Walter the tortoise to meeting the chickens in the chicken coup. Wish we could have stayed longer. We had fun chatting with Ryan, the host. While we rated this stay a 5, there are some things that would have made our stay better. Primarily, we found the couch and kitchen seating to be tired and uncomfortable. Also, the stove and range are so-so. If you like dogs, Cider and Bourbon are quite friendly. Bourbon and Cider are great ambassadors and are as sweet as they come. They do love all the attention you can give them. Walter is a must visit as well.
