The place was absolutely gorgeous upon the drive in, but I knew that we would encounter service issues as soon as we pulled up. Unclear where the valet was, we pulled up our car and waited. 10 staff did not acknowledge us. It was very awkward. We got out of the car and asked for valet, and they kindly agreed and took our keys and parked the car. It was very bizarre. We found that this was the norm for the entire stay. Everyone was very pleasant, but no one was proactive in any of the services rendered. Had to always ask to have a refill, ask for menus, ask how to get the coffee at the buffet, ask how to get ice waters, ask for a food menu at the pool bar, and then they never came back to ask what we wanted to order...... Absolutely zero follow through. The buffet power went out at one point, and there was zero explanation and was almost like none of the workers noticed or cared. Again, very strange as this was the norm throughout. Although beautiful, I would not stay here again. And, there was a conference, so the pool was blocked off and we had to go elsewhere. Felt like we weren't important because we were not part of it. I also read that in other reviews. Make sure to inquire about events before you make your reservation here.
