This lovely, 2 story house situated on the banks of the Arkansas River, is just 15 minutes away from Salida. It offers a quiet and peaceful retreat with stunning views of the river and surrounding mountains. The house features a fully stocked kitchen and three bedrooms, accommodating up to six guests. Experience the beauty of Colorado and enjoy a relaxing stay in this charming home.

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

Amazing get-a-way by the river

The home was very inviting, plenty of room for all. The home and property were dog friendly and that made our stay-cation (We only live about an hour away) easy and super relaxing.

Beautiful slice of heaven on earth!

The house was roomy and comfortable! Kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. We were mesmerized by the river and mountain views and sitting outside watching the sunset was beautiful! We will definitely return, it was a wonderful getaway!

Spring break getaway

Beautiful home that was a great base for exploring the area and plenty of space to hunker down and rest, read, watch a movie in a beautiful setting.Nice kitchen, we made good use of stove and oven, and charcoal grill.It’s a short walk down to the river, and you can see it clearly out the windows and from the many decks.

Beautiful property!

We brought our in laws here for little getaway. The property was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. Proximity to salida and buena vista was great when we wanted to be in town and close to some of our note hikes in the area. Beds could use updating but overall extremely happy with our stay here.

Lovely property

House was as described. Very comfortable. Took us a little bit to figure out where all the heating zones were, but once we did all was good! Views were beautiful and we had deer visit every day. Antelope in the field coming to the house. Would love to stay again!

Quiet Views

The house has great views of the river and surrounding mountains and is at the end of a dirt road with almost no traffic. As I was leaving a couple had parked near the property's fence and was walking toward the river. If I wasn't leaving at the time, I would have never noticed them.

Perfect Getaway

The location was perfect being about 10 minutes from downtown Salida, where we enjoyed shopping and watching the annual duck races, and 20 minutes from Buena Vista where we did a half day rafting trip. The location was very private and had several outdoor seating areas to enjoy the mountain and river views. Inside the home also had several seating areas, all of which were extremely comfortable! We ate at the house for a couple of meals and had everything we needed ( the kitchen was amazing). We will definitely stay here next time we want a weekend getaway!

By the river but that might be jusy our family

We were looking for a place to hang together as a family and enjoy the outdoors. We had good fishing, son in law caught and released 5 who fishes around Colorado a lot. Husband had difficulty wading but had several to release. Kitchen supplied well for our needs and we had a wonderful time browsing Salida and walking around town. Only suggestion you need a puzzle table. It is a perfect spot to watch the light change, sip beverage and puzzle away!

Complete Tranquility

Our family (myself, my husband and our 10 yr old son absolutely loved this cabin. It is set back in near the river with the closest house maybe 75 yards away. It was very clean and had most of what we needed until we went to the store the next day… we brought quite a bit of food but just needed items such as ketchup and mustard. My husband and son fished the river every single day and our son caught his first brown trout! The path to the river is a little steep but nothing unmanageable or inconvenient. We saw tons of antelope around the property with one buck even grazing at the driveway about 15 feet from the side porch! The only pests that we encountered were spiders (which is understandable with the cold moving in and being so close to the river) but I found spider spray and sprayed around the doorways and never saw one after that. The fireplaces were amazing and so cozy! The location was great and we can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Clear check-in instructions. Clean but pretty outdated/tired furniture, bedding and towels. Good stretch of river for fishing. No neighbors, great views of Mt Antero, however the road noise from the highway is prominent when outside but not inside with windows closed.

By the River is a truly amazing property that is kept up in pristine condition. The views, the access to the river, and location are as good as it gets. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is immaculately clean. The many decks/patios capture 360 views and the fire pit and field by the river area are hard to beat. We hope to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was extremely clean, the host was very responsive & helpful, very thankful we were able to bring our dogs because they absolutely loved being able to access the river on a daily basis. The house is in a perfect location too, only about 10 minutes outside of town so you have access to all your needs but without the noise. The house had everything we needed and more, it was a luxury. Hope to make it back one day.

Check in was easy and the house was beautiful. Full kitchen and 2 spacious lounging areas. Lots of windows and porches to sit and enjoy your coffee while enjoying the wonderful views. Pronghorn and deer wandered around the house. The only downside was no seating near the river as shown in pictures. If we ever come through the area we will definitely stay here again!
