"Room was quite small but very well equiped, everything worked and there was a bottle of chilled water in the fridge which was very much appreciated. Pool looked nice (didn't use it but several people did), not much in the way of a garden, small but well stocked bar. Restauarant was superb, really enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection and good coffee from the machine. Hotel was very easy to find."

Hôtel du Canal

8/10 Good

"Room was clean, quite basic but fine for our one night stay, great location 5mins from train station & walkable into town and canal. No frills but clean & nice bathroom. Bed was comfortable."

Premiere Classe Pamiers

8/10 Good

"First experience of this type of accommodation. Very inexpensive and convenient. Perfect for a cheap stopover. Very compact but has all you need great for the price. Was able to check in on machine which issues the door card. Secure parking. Supermarket and dining including McDonalds close by. Quieter than thought would be. Due a refurbishment as bit tatty but brilliant for the money"

Charming gite for 06 to 15 people with private pool

10/10 Excellent

"Samuel the host met us and showed us around the property explaining all we needed to know. The property had air con in every room which was such a benefit in the very hot weather we had.The property overall was very good the garden a bit uneven under foot so could cause problems for someone unsteady walking. The kitchen in particular was fantastic and enough crockery and utensils to accomadate 20- 30 people if not more .The beds were all comfortable and with a family of 10 from 64 down to 2 we all slept well. Would definitely recommend this property for a rural holiday. Great cycling/ hiking track on your doorstep and shops within 5 min drive or supermarkets 15- 20 mins away"

Chateau de Roquefoulet

10/10 Excellent

"What a gorgeous stay at a beautiful chateau. We had the most peaceful stay here - very welcoming staff who were so friendly. We felt incredibly special and well looked after, and cooked for. The air conditioning and cool room were so well appreciated in the heat wave. The property is gorgeous, quiet and so relaxing. It was a perfect stop off on our trip."

La Maison des Consuls

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent stay, beautiful, quaint hotel with very helpful staff. Very clean, with daily house keeping. Couldn’t find fault and would stay again. If I was asked to find anything at all i would have preferred, it would be to have liquid hand wash was instead of a bar. And shower gel rather than shampoo. However, this did not affect our stay at all."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Saint-Amans?

The best time to visit Saint-Amans is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.

In late spring, the countryside is lush and green, and the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This is an excellent time for outdoor activities like hiking or cycling through the Tarn-et-Garonne department's rolling hills and vineyards. You'll find local markets bustling with fresh produce and fewer tourists compared to the peak summer months.

Early autumn offers a similar appeal, with mild temperatures that are superb for exploring. The landscape transforms with the colours of the harvest season, particularly in the nearby vineyards. Temperatures generally range from 12°C to 22°C. This period is ideal for those who appreciate good food and wine, as many local festivals celebrate the grape harvest and regional produce.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, it can be quite hot, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, and the area tends to be busier.
