Arrived 2pm checked in, headed to pool. Had to use codes to get through different area of hotel. Bit weird having to pay deposits for towels and robes but okto do it.
The staff here were wonderful, attentive and professional but friendly and really helped make our stay a good one. Breakfast was great as was the lady looking after us.
With a beautiful open countryside of hills and valleys, and attractions as varied as Rutland Water and Oakham Castle, Rutland is one of the United Kingdom’s most popular destinations, especially for outdoors enthusiasts. Festivals such as the Oakham Arts Festival are a magnet for culture vultures, and no county in England seems to have so many antique shops, tea rooms and picturesque old pubs. There’s a vast range of options when it comes to accommodation, and you may well decide to treat yourself to a bit or real pampering in one of Rutland’s luxury hotels.
A big advantage of booking in to one of the luxury hotels here is that you get the best of everything under one roof and in a single package. The service in Rutland luxury hotels is absolutely top notch, and you’ll be able to enjoy fine cuisine in elegant surroundings and superior facilities such as steam baths, pools and massage services. Most of these luxury hotels in Rutland have fewer than 100 rooms, and 50 or less is not uncommon. As a result, the management are able to deliver the sort of personal services that are beyond the remit of larger hotel chains, so that you’re really made to feel welcome and cared for.
If you stay at a luxury hotel in Rutland, such as The Old Wisteria Hotel in Oakham, you won’t have to go hunting down the best local restaurant, because it will be right there on-site, and part of the package. In fact, the restaurants in Rutland’s luxury hotels frequently have such good reputations that they attract diners from right across the county.
What marks out Rutland’s luxury hotels from the bigger chain establishments is the level of personalised service they’re able to provide. The amenities usually include fitness rooms, pool, steam baths and other facilities that you just don’t find in most hotels. Designer bathroom products and in-room music centres are the norm here too, along with high-speed Wi-Fi in the guestrooms and conference facilities for business guests. If you’re looking for a holiday with the emphasis on elegance and personal service, luxury hotels in Rutland deliver every time.
