We really enjoyed our stay at Il Covo in Rome. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the Colosseum and many other attractions. The room was clean and cozy, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast in a small restaurant 2 blocks away was nice -- croissants, coffee, bread, cheese, yogurt and juice. After a few days we paid extra for omelets to get a little protein and variety. The breakfast was in a local cafe, but perfectly adequate, if a little limited. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. But there was no kettle to make a drink. There was a lift for getting to the fifth floor. We also we able to walk from the train station as well even though with luggage wasn’t ideal. The breakfast was good and the staff were very nice. It is in the city so expect noise outside and could hear people in the hallway fairly easily. Had a good breakfast to start the day. Our room did not have A/C and Rome was warm the week we were there. I do believe that the hotel has rooms with A/C. It wasn't too bad seeing how the evenings were cool. I didn't catch her name, but the woman at the desk in the evening was very helpful. She brought ice up to our room when my wife fell and twisted her ankle.
