We were locked out of the building. Finally someone leaving let us in. Then we stood in front of the concierge desk for about 20 minutes until someone else told us to go to the 2nd floor. There was a lovely Italian woman there but she spoke no English. She let us use the restroom in one of the rooms which we later found out was our room. We left our bags at her desk and walked around until the owner arrived around 2 pm. He pulled a sheet of paper that said we only paid for two people, not three. I showed him my Expedia confirmation that clearly said I booked for 3 persons. He refused to give us the keys to the room unless we paid an additional $100 euros. At that point we were exhausted and paid the additional money. If I had known that the room was more expensive, I would have chose another hotel to stay at that was more convenient to sites. The room itself was small but nice, the balcony was lovely. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Coffee and croissant were available at the restaurant next door each morning.
