Stayed in 2 different rooms, both had mold. With 2 elevators we still had long wait times get on to get to our room. The sinks drains worked slow. Overall rooms look nice and sheets were clean. Havaianas for every guest was included in each room which was a nice touch. Very much needed for the showers since that’s where mold was. Overall was a good stay aside from the mold and random smell of dirty water (the 1st room).

Our stay at PortoBay was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the location couldn’t have been better. A huge shout-out to Alice, Alex and Daniel, and beach boys Caio and Isiah- who truly made our stay so special. They were incredibly welcoming, friendly and always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their genuine kindness, professionalism and attention to detail made us feel so well looked after, and they are a real credit to the hotel. Every member of staff we met was warm and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. We would happily recommend PortoBay to anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro and can’t wait to return. Thank you again for making our trip so memorable!

The hotel is pretty, comfortable and clean. I was nervous when I booked because of other reviews but glad I picked Porto Bay. I didn’t have any issues with the water/shower/ toilet at all. The staff is AMAZING! They were all so nice, kind and helpful. It’s close to everything and you feel very safe because they have security outside the hotel. The food is DELICIOUS!!!! Lunch and dinner, everything was 10/10 my suggestion is to improve the breakfast menu/buffet since having the same food for breakfast everyday is not ideal and some mornings I had to eat out for breakfast since I got bored of the same options. I was able to get omelette made for me at my request so they are very helpful :) Suggestions: -Have a heater on the pool, water could be really cold and other hotels in the area have a heater. -Better chairs at the beach, the ones you have are not comfortable and such a nice hotel deserves better chairs -Add items on the breakfast menu/buffet, don’t serve the same everyday Other than that I would be back for sure to this place!!! And I already recommended to friends a family! Book this one! You won’t regret :)

We loved our stay at Porto Bay. It’s so close to the the beach and having chairs available was a great plus. They have a very nice pool and bar area overlooking Copa Cabana.

Pool, views, gym, sauna, and overall vibe of the hotel is amazing. Right on Copacabana beach, amazingly convenient location. However, when we stayed there was ongoing construction going on; loud hammering, drilling, nonstop from early morning into the late evening. Would return and give 5 stars if/when that is finished. Also had a few issues with check out and room charges being messed up/confusion from the front desk worker. The manager was able to fix everything and comp us for one night, but be warned on construction.

Quarto limpo, mas não muito grande. Uma novidade - a TV não tem mais acesso aos canais a cabo. Agora só é possível acessar os aplicativos (YouTube, Globoplay, Netfliz, Amazon). Café da manhã bom, mas as porções de iogurte poderiam ser maiores. O café coado servido não agradou muito, não sei identificar qual era o problema. Mesmo com o ar condicionado desligado o quarto parecia mais frio que o ambiente fora. Mas o hotel é muito bom e bem localizado. Terceira vez que fico e pretendo retornar.
