Great hotel

Always use this hotel for overnight stays needed when traveling from Glasgow airport. Great free shuttle service too. Friendly staff. Rooms a bit on the small side but as it's only ever for one night it's not a problem. My one gripe is when I stayed on 30th July there was a Christmas display with a countdown to the 25th Dec. That totally spoiled my day and stay. Apparently the manageress insisted on it being there despite protests from staff that it's too early. Listen to your staff. It is too...

2 good nights sleep. Good size room. King sixe bed and matress zzzzzz. Both meals and breakfasts were great. The staff are very pleasant and polite. They actually look like they enjoy working there. This could be because it is an NHS run hospital so less stressful on the staff. The views are of the River Clyde. Both days we watched the last ocean going steam paddle ship sail past it is the best sight and sound.

Perfect for an overnight to catch a flight early morning.

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

Made to feel most welcome. Nothing to much trouble for the friendly staff.

Check in & parking was easy, with plenty spaces (for a charge - cheaper at weekends), and the staff were lovely. The hotel seemed well staffed and busy with other guest, which is always a good sign. The rooms were lovely, clean and fresh with hand-soap and plenty of towels. We only stayed one night and the room was quiet, the bed and bedding was soft and comfortable and the air conditioning was a pleasant temp to be able to sleep. We will definitely consider this hotel to stay in again.

The hotel is in a quiet location with beautiful gardens. We had a beautiful spacious room that was well appointed. All the staff we came across were lovely.

Nice hotel, helpful staff, plenty parking onsite and comfy rooms. Buffet breakfast was very good.

The hotel has beautiful scenic views and gorgeous interior. The staff at this hotel could not have been more welcoming, starting with reception, to house keeping, to the staff at the spa/pool and lastly but not least the restaurant staff. I did, however, have one negative experience which was that I passed out in the spa sauna - the high tempature and my low blood pressure were not a good mix. Very handy for the SEC, we had a pizza here for dinner which was well priced and good quality, perfect for a quick meal before a show. Breakfast had an excellent choice.

I stayed with two friends to do some walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. Our primary requirement was for somewhere of a reasonable standard within easy driving distance of where we wanted to walk. In the event, the Abbotsford Hotel delivered all that we wanted and more. The staff at the hotel couldn’t do enough to make sure you had everything you needed and were super friendly. The hotel had great amenities and although there was a wedding going on it wasn’t too noisy! The room seemed very clean apart from a rogue make up sponge that was lying under the desk.
