Check in was smooth and efficient. Carla at reception was superb and really understands what customer service represents. Well done. Bar food was beautiful and staff very customer focused. Breakfast was terrific with lots on offer and day staff very attentive and friendly. We ordered room service and this was efficient. Albeit I live in Dublin and have stayed in numerous top class hotels, Clontarf Castle is a gem and exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel based on...

Great views of Trim castle from the roof bar and surrounding countryside. Shame the entrance doors are not automatic as it would help when trying to get luggage into hotel.

There are changes being made to Dublin's Postcode system just now and they are not included in Garmin/Tom-Tom Sat-Navs. My Garmin took me on a grand tour of the Swords area until a couple of the Garda escorted me to the hotel.

The only down about Carlton Hotel is how far it is from Dublin. We wanted something on outskirts but we found it quite expensive paying for a taxi if you're staying in Dublin until late. Although, the price per night is much better comparing to anywhere in Dublin centre so in a way we saved 😊 the buses stop just outside the hotel and its a straight journey to Dublin centre. The restaurante and bar in the hotel are really good. And have to say, the most comfortable bed I slept in away from home...

Excellent quality-price location, clean and helpful cleaners, delicious breakfast. We had dinner once at the restaurant and it was great and tasty.
Reception and Doorman service really professional and friendly. Special mention to Julianne, the breakfast host, a shot of breath air and a good singer!
The restaurant table staff need to improve their language skills as we had to repeat ourselves many times (I am Spanish but very fluent and my wife is English). It could have just been just a one...

The most wonderful city break we have had! The perfect location, literally on the corner of Stephen’s green park. The MOST caring and wonderful staff, very big shout out to Patrick and Zoe at breakfast for making our stay so lovely. They went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and engaged with our toddler so well too. They memorised our breakfast and coffee orders and room was kept so clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and we will definitely come back if we visit Dublin again.
