2/5 Poor

We are Ambassador with Marriott and travel 300 days per year and there were no available Marriotts in the area so we chose to try this property. The pictures looked nice and the reviews were decent and the price was quite high at €300 so our expectations were to that of a Mariott standard.
For $300 per night the quality of and condition of this hotel was less than a $50 per night hotel in the United States. We are used to Marriott standards and we definitely will not stay at a Clayton property in Europe ever again.
There were holes in all of the carpets throughout the propert, zero air conditioning in the room, and we have never experienced MOLD (see pictures attached) in the showers on the walls and around the basin of the tub along with the ceiling of the bathroom looked as if it were completely about to cave-in as the paint was hanging off of the ceiling... so you would think with that poor conditioning and the decent ratings something had to be better… However the service and housekeeping was just as bad ...we had no towels, no one vacuumed the room (Floor had hai, crumb's. Absolutely astonishing that they are getting away with charging $300/night for such poor condition of a property and absolutely horrendous housekeeping!
Wow the standards are low here ...even 20 years ago when we stayed at lower star properties we’ve never seen mold in bathrooms… That’s standard housekeeping 101 you would think for a property to want to keep guest coming back :-)
