"We stayed for two nights to celebrate my 60th birthday. The hotel has such character and is on a beautiful island with amazing views in every direction. We particularly enjoyed a swim in the mermaid pool and dinner in the Pilchard Inn. The highlight was dressing for dinner and dining in the grand ballroom on my birthday. Our room, The Bentley Room, was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and a balcony with fantastic views. We loved the history of the hotel and island and found the staff extremely helpful. We will definitely be back! "

"I was a late arrival as it was a last minute trip for work. Check in was swift and polite and when I explained I was covering last minute for a colleague he gave me a voucher for a free breakfast Made me feel special and I really appreciated the service and gesture"

"Hotel was great. Good quality furnishings in room and communal areas, bar area was very nice, and staff really helpful. Location-wise, although in an area under development, its really handy for the Hoe, Harbour & city centre. Would definitely stay again and recommend. "
