Hotel with good breakfast and close to everything

Posted 23-Jun-2017
Pros: breakfast and location
Cons: The condition of hotel and rooms and that towels are changed every day.Sometimes towels were not changed for 2-3 days (we didn't put them on the floor
Location: The hotel is located in Quepos. In this area you can go white water rafting, horse back riding, zip lining (I recommend all 3), fishing, kayaking etc.
We have been in this hotel 2 times already. The main reason why we chose this hotel again is because of a very good breakfast (rice with beans, fried egg, toast with butter and jam, cereal, freshly made different juices, fruit and coffee) that can keep you more than a half day full. The second reason is that hotel is located in Quepos and close to ocean walk that is 500 meters away, restaurants, stores, supermarkets, main bus terminal, marina and farmer's market (on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning). A very good pizza place is just across from hotel. The staff is nice. The receptionist helps with booking different activities through different agencies (they have activity book) or with calling a cab. This hotel started to renovate some rooms. One room where we stayed was older and the other one was remodeled. The swimming pool area is small, but nice and remodeled. The breakfast area is little bit older, but nice. To go to the beach you must take a cab or use the bus, because the nearby ocean is not for swimming. Bus is very cheap (310 colones / $0.62) and cab between 4,000 colones/ $8 (Playa Biesanz) and 5,000 colones/$10 (Manuel Antonio beach). The Quepos airport (if you came from San Jose using Sansa Air - $73) is 15 minues away.

Basic, clean and cheap. Good location.

Our stay here was fine, the hotel is upgrading their pool area which will look good. As a basic hotel, it does the job. The reception staff are really friendly. There is air con, a fridge and our bed was a king size and everything is in working order however it does look dated. Breakfast was a simple affair, eggs and toast and Gallo pinto.

Good hotel in town for convenience and business.

Posted 01-May-2017
Pros: The new brick work at the pool walls is great addition and will be finished very soon.
Cons: The lighting in my room, stark. A night stand lamp would be a good addition.
Location: Right in the hart of down town you can walk to every thing.
The hotel staff bent over backwards for me. Helping me retrieve a lost jacket and they spent 2 days getting me a refund on an unused room we reserved. The new owner is make improvements and it shows.

Location, location, location

Best thing about this hotel is its location, just a few steps from the waterfront, bus terminal (for the public bus to Manuel Antonio) and surrounded by bars, restaurants and sodas (local food stalls). Service was pretty good, the young guy at the front desk and the ladies who served breakfast were very helpful. My room was big, but lacked natural light (only a small window) and the condition and cleanliness could be better. The bed cover was a bare comforter with a few stains, and the toilet had yellowish water marks. I didn't use the small pool, but it looked nice and clean.

Clean hotel

Nice little hotel close to downtown and bus terminal. Hotel is very clean, good bed, clean, sparking swimming pool. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Choice of fried or scrambled eggs with rice/ beans and toast. Help yourself to fresh fruit juice, coffee and bananas. Staff friendly and helpful. Felt safe walking in area at night.
