Amazing 2 Bedroom Lakeside Apartment

  • Wake up to the stunning beauty of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains in this stylish 2 bedroom apartment.
    Perfectly positioned on the water's edge, this modern retreat offers uninterrupted lake and mountain views and is just steps away from the Frankton Track and your very own beach.
    There is a car park for one vehicle or conveniently you can take the bus from the top of the driveway.

    It's also a short drive to the Five Mile Shopping area and the Remarkables Shopping Centre.

    The apartment is in the Residence du Lac complex at 527 Frankton Road.

    Located on level 2 (of 3), the apartment provides uninterrupted views of Lake Wakatipu and nearby mountains including the Remarkables.

    The 2 bedrooms sleep 4 people in a King bed in the master bedroom and a large double sofa bed in second bedroom. (From 1 May 2026, this will be 2 single beds).

    The apartment has a good sized kitchen and separate laundry with full size washing machine and dryer.

    The bathroom / toilet is fully tiled and has underfloor heating for those crispy mornings.

    Air conditioning is in the main living room with wall heaters in both bedrooms so you will never be cold.

    On the tiled balcony, there is a table and chairs for alfresco dining.

Positioned only a few km from the airport and the city this apartment delivers fully on its description. The spaciousness meant that during our stay we never felt hemmed in the way that happens in some smaller spaces. The balcony of a morning was a great place to watch the happenings on the river and the flights from the airport. The view of the Remarkables provides the eyes with an ever changing play of light and cloud.Interactions with Martin our host were excellent particularly when we had phone contact with him to resolve initial confusion about unlocking the entry door.The location made us explore restaurants outside of the normal CBD where we came across Fino restaurant at the Marina a couple of km towards the airport. Once the Frankton track reopens later this year it will provide a pleasant summer evening walk to and from and allow you to enjoy one of the best dining experiences.

Martin and Cindy are incredible hosts and the personal touches didn't go unnoticed. The unit is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the view nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing to fault. Location was amazing the apartment was beautiful and the host was so helpful and friendly. The Frankton walking track was closed but there’s a bus stop right out front up a short hill. Highly recommend this place we hope to come back for sure.

Very easy dedicated parking for the unit. This was particularly handy as the car spot was just a few meters from the building entrance and the one flight of stairs to the unit was all inside the building. Makes a different when you’re carting a baby, luggage, shopping etc and the weather is precarious. The unit was great. Well equipped, clean and right on the lake. A lot of subscription television was already there. All in all a great place and Martin was very easy to communicate with as the host. This will be our annual base for our one week in QT every year.
