The hotel is beautiful and all the staff took great care of us while we were there. They serve incredible local food for breakfast and lunch and the Manager Felipe helped organised our visits everyday around Trancoso. We would dedinitely go back

Melhor de Trancoso

A melhor pousada que já fiquei em Trancoso. Os quartos são casas qie ficam num terreno repleto de vegetação da mata atlântica. Um espetáculo. O staff extremamante simpático e prestativo, fazendo de tudo para que sua estadia seja a melhor possível. E isso tudo a poucos passos do Quadrado. Com certeza voltaremos.

Nao percam a oportunidade.

Bem localizada, proximo ao quadrado e contando com staff maravilhoso. O filipe que comanda sempre atencioso, as meninas da cozinha aline e adriana e os rapazes in loco sempre sorrindo e simpaticos. Casa linda e bem decorada, ampla, e cafe da manha maravilhoso.

Hotel dos Sonhos!!!

A nossa estadia no Etnia foi simplesmente maravilhosa. O hotel é lindo, super bem decorado, confortável, e digno de um hotel pra lá de cinco estrelas. O Felipe nos deu um suporte nota mil, sempre muito atencioso e simpático. Os quitutes da Aline são indescritíveis de bom!! Que delicia de café da manhã!! Não vejo a hora de voltar e super indico o Etnia!!!! Foi sensacional!!! Muito obrigada por nos receber tão bem!!!

Trancoso Perfection

My husband and I loved our stay at Etnia! The hotel is great - beautiful place, very close to the Quadrado and beach, and incredibly friendly staff. They helped us with reservations at the beach and with restaurants in town. So sad to leave, but we hope to be back soon!

Foi, simplesmente, perfeita. A hospitalidade, o carinho e a atenção de todos os funcionários, Rosana (recepção), Natasha e Karina (concierge), Aline e Dara (café da manhã), Joelma (chef), Cleo (bar man), e os outros que estiveram por trás da excelência de todos os serviços prestados, que fizeram da nossa estadia um momento mais do que especial. Um modelo a ser seguido. Nunca havia ficado num lugar tão perfeito. Recentemente fizemos uma longa viagem para o Canadá e EUA, ficamos em vários hotéis, mas nada se compara aos serviços prestados pela Etnia. O nosso MUITO OBRIGADOS por tudo!

Little paradise close to more paradise

Stayed here 5 nights in early April. They said the place was full but we only saw a few other guests around breakfast time. Wonderful greeting, excellent food, and amenities were excellent. We stayed in the cottage (only room avail when we booked) which was small but private. Surrounded by forest just off the main drag it was a nice blend of jungle and clean open spaces. Location is as good as it gets in Trancoso, 2min walk to shops and 5 to Quadrado. 10min (covered and cool) walk to the beach. Could not be happier with Roger and Natacha who arranged all our transfers and ensured we had things (or no things!) to do each day. Will stay again.

A hidden gem in beautiful Trancoso

First of all Trancoso has now become my favorite place on earth and I would recommend anyone to go there. You can't find a more picturesque and beautiful place! As for Etnia I would also recommend this lovely hotel. The room was a little bungalow with it's on balcony which was absolutely amazing. Spacious, clean and really rustic nice design. The pool area is also amazing and is where they serve the breakfast. Overall this is just a brilliant, tranquil and beautiful place to stay. On the very picky side I have to say that the breakfast could have included a better selection. Due to the fact that breakfast is served outside, it's was a lot of flies around the food and the fruit wasn't as fresh as you'd expect. Might also be on the very pick part but for a 4-star hotel we were also expecting a duvet and proper bedding (I know it's super hot in Brazil but I need it). Unfortunately, we had much comfier beds in 3-star hotels earlier on our trip but that's the only downside for Etnia.

Trancoso is a fabulous location in Bahia and the Etnia Pousada is very conveniently located a 2 minutes walk from the Quadrado and about 15 mins from the nearest beach. The cottages are very comfortable with a lovely pool and communal area where an excellent breakfast is served. The nicest cottages have a view of the pool. The staff were very helpful and the standard of housekeeping was very high. we had a most relaxing break.

Hotel super agradável, equipe atenciosa, café da manhã excelente. O hotel fica numa área bastante tranquila, próxima ao quadrado, e aproximadamente 15 minutos de caminhada da praia! A equipe é atenciosa e educada, os quartos são confortáveis e limpos! Aliás, a limpeza e o carinho na arrumação do quarto é um capítulo a parte! Esquecemos as janelas abertas uma tarde e a equipe do hotel, teve o zelo em fechá-la! Fomos alertados em relação aos mosquitos, mas não tivemos maiores problemas! A piscina fica numa área arborizada e tranquila! Sugiro uma ofurô na área da piscina, ficaria perfeito! Obrigada a toda equipe do Etnia! Foi perfeito!
