Dine at one of the many restaurants and bars in the lively Passarela do Álcool in the downtown area of the city. Try shrimp, lobster and other regional seafood as well as international cuisine.

To the south is the quaint resort town of Arraial d’Ajuda, with some of the first colonial structures in Brazil. Treat the kids to a day at the Arraial Eco Park Water Park that overlooks the ocean.

The city of Porto Seguro is located in the state of Bahia in the northeastern corner of Brazil. Its beaches lie beside the the Atlantic Forest, which covers a huge part of the country. Arrive at Porto Seguro Airport from other parts of Brazil and drive east for 10 minutes to get to the beaches.
