This Quality Inn was in a handy location to access Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh Univ. or Carlow Univ. Check in was a little weird, but overall the staff was friendly. This hotel had free parking but no free breakfast. The halls were a little dingy but room was clean. The rear "fire exit" (which I thought would lead to the back parking lot) actually led to a locked door. (Code violation?) I would probably not stay at this hotel again.

Thank you for staying with us and for submitting your feedback.
We passed our annual fire inspection in February of 2017. Because of your comments, I personally inspected the rear fire exit door. The rear fire exit door is functioning properly. In the event of an emergency, one has to push the red bar on the emergency exit door. The door will open and allow guests to leave the building. The door cannot be opened from the outside. The door is solely to be used as an emergency exit- not a shortcut to the parking lot. Guests can access the parking lot via the hotel's main lobby entrance. When Panera Bread is open for business, guests can access the parking lot via their main entrance or their patio entrance.
I hope this information is helpful.
