"Lovely hotel in good location"
Hotel is situated on the Main Road in Pitlochry and has a medium size car park. On checking in I was offered either a whisky or a sherry to welcome me to the Hotel which I thought was a nice touch. The food in the restaurant and the coach house bar was delicious and reasonably priced. Pitlochry is well situated for lovely walks for people of all abilities. You can also visit Whisky Distilleries and Blair Castle and it's gardens. The only small issue I had with the Hotel is that due to the age of it the floorboards in the rooms and corridor were very creaky but it wouldn't stop me from going back.

"Great location, a few shortcomings"
The hotel enjoys a stunning location and the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. However there were a few shortcomings - the restaurant was fully booked by the time we arrived (we had not been given any warning that this might be the case), the shower in our room was at the opposite end of the spectrum to a power shower, and the drinks were extremely expensive. On the other hand, the breakfast was a highlight. Generally the hotel requires some investment in its public rooms and informal dining area.

"Nice hotel with free parking near Queen's view"
We (4 adults) booked two rooms, one double another one is twin room. However when we check in in the afternoon/evening, staff told us we only got two double rooms and hotel is fully booked. Two of us are very upset as they have to share 1 bed and the bed is relative small (appr. 1.5m) for two adults. Quite big hotel, one side of 3fl with nice view.

"Very Scottish"
Upon arrival in our room, it looked like someone took liquid tartan and sprayed it over the room. Apart from the insane tartan coverage, the room was comfortable, but definitely dated. You could feel the warped floorboards underneath the carpet and feel the whole room vibrate when anyone walked across it. It definitely needs a bit of an upgrade. Even with the dated room, the rooms were very comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the food/atmosphere in the bar was superb. I would recommend this hotel to friends/family in the area.
