Our room was very clean, comfortable, warm and quiet. Lovely to sip a coffee and look out of the window at the loch and snow topped mountains. Excellent facilities, we enjoyed the heated pool. spa, gym while the weather did it's worst outside. The food available was excellent. Dinner first night in the Estate room which was excellent in every way. A must. Quality food and service. Second day in the Wild Brownie. Again excellent service with good food. Breakfast was also good with endless choice and great service. If you asked the staff you could pretty much get what you wanted the way you wanted it. In fact the staff through out the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Also found one or two lesser known malts in the whisky bar which was a delight. Very knowledgeable young lady serving. Special mention for the lady doing the house keeping, bedroom clean/make up. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her. Very helpful, Unfortunately I did not get her name. TV system was down, didn’t impact us because of the storm recently. Basic but nice spa. The hotel breakfast was great, as was the dinner. The service in all parts of the hotel was excellent. We played squash, used the gym, spa, and games room. The only downside of the games room was that some bits for the games were missing but we had fun nonetheless. The bar had live music on the Friday night and the bar area had board games and chess tables. Beautiful views. Stayed a few times and cleanliness standards are always kept very high. We had a heritage room this time - room was perfect but bathroom was pretty small. Large shower - but from shower glass to wall is the width of a bath mat so if you’re a rather large person you won’t fit. Breakfast was delicious although for a “Scottish” breakfast I would have expected Lorne sausage and sliced haggis. We had dinner in the bar area in the evening and although again, it was delicious there, wasn’t very much choice. We had the balmoral chicken which really wasn’t enough so a choice of extra veg would have been ideal. Overall a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The room we had passed all expectations. We used the facilities at the hotel and were very pleased with the swimming pool, gym and the outside areas.
