Piazza delle Erbe is a bustling city square in the heart of Verona. Each day a market is set up in the centre of the square and the outdoor chairs and tables of restaurants, bars and cafés are placed on the footpaths. Listen to the cries of market vendors, drink traditional Italian espresso and admire the eclectic mix of buildings that surrounds this central square.
Since the Roman era, Piazza delle Erbe has been a central meeting place for the people of Verona. Many of the streets that cross Verona lead to the square.
