"Staff are very friendly and were very helpful. Hotel is in a good location to get to train station and walking around the old town. Room was modern and fairly large for Switzerland, somewhat sparse but functional."
"Being near the train station, trams at front door, yet easy walk into city is always a drawcard. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff makes it the perfect stay for me. "
"Very nice and comfortable rooms. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is great, walk to many old town areas, and central to many tram lines."
"Breakfast was amazing! Breakfast included eggs, sausage cold cuts, fruit. wonderful selection of local cheeses and a wide assortment of breads and pastries. Easy walking distance to old Basel. "

"A+ everything was perfect, from cleanliness, service, helpfulness of the staff to the interior. Location is also perfect for sightseeing and great restaurants and cafes"
"Loved the location. We were there for National Swiss Day and ate at the restaurant where we had great food and a front row seat for the fireworks.
The staff could not have been more pleasant. They shifted our dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant and provided recommendations for other places. They provided coffee service on each floor.
The Hotel is older and could stand newer furnishings, but has character and the beds were comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but we were comfortable even in early August. "
"We loved our stay at the Passage. It was very clean, well organized and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. While the suite didn't have a separate room, it was nice how far away the sofa bed was from the actual bedroom and, with a sound machine, we were able to feel like we had two separate spaces.
The bathrooms are very nice, but there were a couple quirky things
1. This would *not* be a suitable option for friends or multiple couples that like privacy. There is only a clear glass door for the shower room and it never fogs over so everyone who walks by has a clear view of the person bathing.
2. The toilet is in a separate room from the tub, sink and shower, so you have to go into a separate room to wash your hands
Overall, though, we would return to the Passage in a heartbeat--just a few small things that might have been nice to know in advance :)"
