Top Petersfield Park Hotel Reviews
No 131
8/10 Good
"Overall, our experience at No. 131 was good, but it could very easily have been excellent. The room itself was lovely, with very comfortable beds and an amazing shower, and the housekeeping team were attentive and excellent throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was average at best. We were given very little information about the hotel, the adjoining amenities, or some fairly important practical details. The biggest issue came one evening when we returned to the hotel at around 1am to find all of the gates locked — and by locked, I mean chained and padlocked. We tried every gate we could find and eventually had no option but to climb over the fence to get back into the hotel. When I raised this the following morning, I was told that one of the gates should have been open. We had tried them all and none were. Either way, if access to the hotel changes late at night, this is surely something guests should be clearly advised of at check-in. The other thing that left a slightly sour taste was discovering a £20 charge on our final bill for two lost key cards — £10 each for two basic white plastic cards. I appreciate that hotels may have policies regarding lost keys, but again, this was never mentioned at check-in. Had we been told there was a £10 replacement charge per card, we would at least have been aware of it. These are relatively small things and easily fixable, which is why it’s frustrating. No. 131 is a lovely hotel, the rooms are excellent and th"
Hotel du Vin & Bistro Cheltenham

"Really enjoyed staying - awesome room"
Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was a 5/5. A positive experience all round. The cleanliness of the hotel was the best we have been to for a while. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and gym facilities with the stay were free of charge which was amazing to use. The location is great to get to and from the city centre by car. There is a £7 charge for parking overnight. The room is spacious, fan available when hot. Tea and coffee and milk in room plenty for 2 nights. Bathroom was very clean and modern. Very clean and modern hotel over all."
Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality
8/10 Good
"First time staying in the Citrus Hotel Cheltenham. The family room we had was a surprise in that it was so huge. It even had self catering facilities in a cupboard including a sink, microwave and kitchen utensils! The room was dated and looked like we could have been in the 80’s, but it was very clean and quiet. The location is fantastic for walking into central Cheltenham, and the small car park beneath the hotel was an added bonus at £10 per night. We would definitely stay in the hotel again if we were to spend a day or two in Cheltenham."
Strozzi Palace Suites by Mansley
8/10 Good
"It would have been nice to have a stovetop. Such a big kitchen area and cabinets without one is a waste of space."
Malmaison Cheltenham
8/10 Good
"We returned from a very busy day at 10.30 to find that our room had not been serviced - we had not opted into the scheme whereby guests can forgo a clean and receive a voucher to be used in the bar. Miguel went out of his way to supply the required teas, coffees towels etc. Thank you for your help Miguel."
Crescent Place by Mansley
8/10 Good
"Room was on top floor with excellent views, but we would book a room on a lower floor in future as it was a long way to climb while carrying a suitcase. Room small, but comfortable and was serviced daily. Nespresso machine appreciated and quality brand of teas and coffees plus pint of milk in fridge. Air conditioning powerful and valued during recent hot spell. However, whenever the air conditioner was on, the unit dripped water for hours afterwards. We had to place a bin to collect the water otherwise the water pooled by the bathroom door."
Stunning 3 Bed Town House with Private Parking
10/10 Excellent
"House was spotless and well equipped. It’s on three floors with lounge on 2nd floor. There’s a small back yard and balcony doors in lounge. The area is nice quiet residential one and very easy to get to from M5. Also just a short taxi ride from main station. Or, it’s walkable if you don’t have much luggage. Very well located and close to a Waitrose and a Tesco. Also very easy short walk to town centre. There is one off-road parking space but, be aware if you have more than one car, local parking is a bit tricky to find as most spaces are permit only.We were there for a girly week and found it it perfect for 3 adults."
New | Brookbank Place | Central | Free Parking
10/10 Excellent
"The booking and checkin process was very easy and straightforward. The property is in a great location for access to the city center and rail station. The accomodations were great for our group, with comfortable beds and sleeping arrangements for the four of us."
