"Good sized rooms with comfortable bed, a small fridge, ice bucket in the room and ice machines on each floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the town, very close to the hospital. I was disappointed with breakfast, eggs were overcooked hash browns were stale tasting left out too long maybe, not the biggest choice of continental breakfast. I was pleased with the hotel & room and location, a closer eye needs to be kept on the breakfast so it’s fresher, maybe it was an off day."

"Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are at a good price and were more than comfortable for our two night stay. We’d have no hesitation in stopping again when in Shrewsbury."

"The location of the hotel is very ideal, and right in the historic downtown of Wrexham. You can walk any where and there is plenty to see. The place has a bar and a restaurant but I didn't use it nor did I have breakfast there, but it is available for additional cost. My room was great, small, but exactly what I needed since I hardly spend any time in it anyway. The TVs are small and need updating, and the bathroom is also very outdated, though it works very well. I want to say it is quiet, but the slamming of neighboring doors from other patrons did startle me a few times as the doors do not close quietly, mine included. REMEMBER TO BRING AN ADAPTER, no universal plugs here. The staff were great when I interacted with them. The lobby isn't monitored all the time, so I will say that if you have to hit the button for someone to come assist, you will be waiting a while. One time I gave up and went to the bar. But again, when you deal with them, they are great."

"Great little inn over the river from the main part of Shrewsbury so much quieter. Easy walking into town just over the bridge. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nepalese restaurant as part of the premises. Good food at a reasonable price. Onsite parking is a bonus."

"Joe on front desk in the evening and the following morning was an the perfect welcome hodt. He ensured we had everything we needed and the needs of our little dog too. Very knowledgeable about the hotel and area. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking was pretty tight but still really good. The room wasn't huge but it was so nicely decorated and so warm and comfortable. The whole place was spotless. Loads of hot water in the shower and the bed was so comfortable. The next morning breakfast was cooked to order. It was absolutely amazing. One full English for hubby and a smoked salmon smashed avocado for me, fantastic. Would stay again or recommend this place in a heartbeat."

"Was a pleasure staying at Hawkstone Park Hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming, only thing was the parking. Seemed like the people coming to play golf were parking in the hotel car park. But other than that it was a nice place to stay"
