"The sheets were stained and dirty, the location is extremely noisy, very thin walls and windows. You can hear the noise in the street until 3 AM.. not recommended for a relaxing stay. The whole room just felt dirty. Other than that, the price was good."
"Terrazas del Inca has very convenient location to the bus station to Machu Picchu and restaurants/shopping. Breakfast starts at 5:30am and freshly cooked which is very considerate for early hikers and tourists for early entrance time. Room is clean and comfy."

The breakfast was adequate, the balcony was lovely & the beds were comfortable! Location was perfect, just a short uphill walk to get to the train/bus station and main square! "Casa del sol staff was amazing! They contacted me before the trip to make sure we had our Machu Picchu tickets, bus tickets and requested our time of arrival at the train station to help us get to the hotel. They also got us a guide for Machu Picchu who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and helped us get in line and on the bus asap. The staff made the trip so easy and comfortable. The staff was extremely nice with excellent customer service. We would definitely come back to this hotel!! "
"Hotel Luz Garden was such a joy! It is just minutes away from the Aguas Calientes train station (ex. Local, Inka Rail, Perú Rail) and also near Ministerio de Cultural office if you need to buy a last minute ticket to Macchu Picchu. The staff and hospitality at this hotel was AMAZING! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and they have a storage room for your luggage. The rooms were clean, had Inkan decor, and most importantly, heat! I went August 2025 so it was definitely chilly in town. There is an elevator to take you to your respective floor. Only cons is that late at night, I did not see a 24/7 security guard or receptionist at front desk. It was simply left unlock with lights off. Additionally, though the location is minutes away from the Main Street of dining and nightlife (about 6 min walk) it is in a hidden street, my friends had to walk me to my hotel after midnight hours just to ensure I was safe. Nonetheless, a great stay and it is right next to economical dining options and snacks (2 soles for emoliente and late night snacks etc.) Would definitely recommend! "

"The Sanctuary Lodge is a gem in the entrance of Machu Picchu. Every staff member we met was exceptionally warm, treating us like their family. We were especially impressed by Juan Manuel, Wilmar, Alexander, and Zaraí. Additionally, incredible demonstrations of Peruvian culture by Karen and Gabriel. We really felt taken care of here. Not only was the attention by staff excellent, but the space is beautiful with an incredible garden, lovely rooms, and the food was unbelievable (notable mention to Chef Daniel).
We cannot recommend this hotel and its people more!"
"Customer service desk guy was great. They close late and turn off all lights. When we went out to get something to drink we had to use our phones to guide our way out and back in. It is pretty noisy but that’s expected with everyone going out there to have a good time. "
