The airport bus stops on Via Roma are also just a few minutes away on foot, making its location perfect for tourists. This hotel truly deserves the boutique label – rooms are tasteful, modern and luxurious, yet manage to be warm and cosy at the same time. The bed, pillow and sheets are so comfortable that my Oura ring health-tracker reported I spent significantly more time in the deep sleep state than usual! The staff, from reception to restaurant, were stand-outs. Service was warm, personal and attentive. I booked the half-board with dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is a really good fine-dining establishment. I would suggest opting for the half-board option for at least one night to try the restaurant. All this was available for a very reasonable price, especially compared to the rest of Italy. I would return to Palazzo Cartari in Palermo a heartbeat. But sadly, we were very underwhelmed with the gritty city of Palermo. Staying at the lovely hotel saved us.
