"The room was very clean with coffee and tea making equipment Fresh towels on the bed and the room was aired with an open window There was also use of a fan Breakfast was self serve but had to ask for fried or poached eggs. "Great location and only half hour drive from home . Clean room and very quiet . Easy access to pubs only downside i have was once we checked in they asked for extra £100 as deposit as well as price for the room luckily i had my card on me as this wasn't stated when i booked ."

"Lovely place, lovely setting. Stayed either side of the Great North Run. Staff were absolutely lovely, even got complimentary drinks when they found we'd just been running! :) Room very nice and spacious, comfy bed, only complaint would be that room was a tad warm for me, even with radiator off! Complientary entry to the health club as a hotel guest was a big reason we picked here, enabled a good soak and steam after running!"
